Marketing can
be described using the basic marketing functions: product, price,
place and promotion
Product:
Define and describe the product lines or services; state percent of
sales by product or product line; show which products or services have
been changing; identify problem products or services; include a
discussion of product attributes; use graphics, charts, and statistics.
Price:
Show methods used to calculate prices; be specific; show how the firm
derives its prices; discuss the pricing hierarchy of the market; discuss
competitor pricing practices.
Place:
State exactly where you plan to establish your business or where it is
located if it is an ongoing business. Note the community and the
district with which the business will be located and the limits of the
geographic area the business will serve.
Promotion:
How will you promote your business, e.g. public relations;
advertising budget; in-house promotions.
